Twitter announces acquisition of ‘Revue’ email newsletter service

As Twitter has been expanding its operations into more areas, the company announced today the acquisition of Revue, a startup that offers an email service focused on newsletters. Twitter says the platform will help improve social network for individual creators, publishers, and journalists.

Facebook bans users and publishers from sharing news in Australia – video

Facebook has made good on its threat to ban Australians from seeing or posting news content on its site in response to the federal government’s proposed news media code. As of Thursday morning, news publishers were unable to post content on pages, while articles were also blocked from being shared. In implementing its new ban, the social media giant also blocked a number of government departments, charities and its own page. Apple urged to ‘improve the validity’ of its app privacy labels by US House Committee

At the end of January, we saw a report from The Washington Post call attention to the recently launched app privacy labels for Apple’s App Store. The small-scale study showed more than half the third-party apps’ self-submitted privacy labels were completely false or at least misleading. Now the US House Committee on Energy & Commerce is urging Apple to “improve the validity of its App Privacy labels” along with asking for more specifics on the system.
