Photo Report: Traditions Run Strong At The 107th Indianapolis 500
The Indy 500 means a lot of things to a lot of people. Once a year, an entire state focuses its attention on a 2.5-mile rectangle-shaped circuit where drivers put their lives on the line to continue a tradition now 107 times completed. Hopeful winners have grown up fantasizing over their own brick-laden glory, and fans come together to watch the best of the best go wheel to wheel for 500 flat-out miles.
In a way, the top of the mountain is in the middle of Indiana.
Every year, TAG Heuer recognizes this tradition and what it means to its faithful by producing a limited edition watch for the race. Naturally, and on theme, the watch is a chronograph capable of timing to 1/10th of a second by way of a quartz movement. All of which is kept safe in a shock and water-resistant case.

The Tag Heuer Formula 1 Indy 500 is not for everyone –there are only 1,000 pieces made for 2023 – but for those that get one, it’s a lot more than a watch.
